Marked walking path in historic surroundings from St. Olav's Church and the Nordvegen History Centre at Avaldsnes leading to the Viking village. Go for a walk through the area were Norway's first king set up his court. Walk through the beautiful landscape or go for a refreshing dip in the sea. Parking and toilets are available.

Viking Farm: Just a 15 minute walk from the church is the Viking Farm. In summer the longhouse, round house and fire houses are open to visitors.  At the Viking Farm you can learn some of the skills that Vikings used for fun and games, at work and in battle. The Viking Festival at Avaldsnes has become the biggest Viking festival at the West coast of Norway. The Viking farm will be populated by more than 200 vikings from all over Europe, living in their tents. The Viking Festival takes place at the Viking farm.
