The cable car takes you to the Mountain Restaurant, 656 meters above sea level. At the Mountain Restaurant you can enjoy panoramic view of the Ofotefjord.
From the Mountain Restaurant you will also have view over the mountain chains surrounding the city, amongst them "The Sleeping Queen", as the most famous of them all.
The Cable Car takes about 8 minutes on the 1810 meter long ride from the cable car bottom station and up to the top station. and It has a capacity of 350 persons per hour. When the weather and view is at its best, you can even view the mountains in Lofoten called “Lofotveggen”.
Narvik is located 400 km north of the Polar Circle. In the summer, from mid May to end of July the sun shines 24/7. And the best view is from the Narvik Mountain. Take the Cable Car or go hiking while you experience “polar days”, the phenomenon which occurs when the sun never goes below the horizon.
It is a spectacular experience to observe the midnight sun from the hights, while the fjords and the mountains shape a dramatic background.
