By day, we are a charming café where you can indulge in espresso-based drinks like cappuccino, cortado, and latte, a variety of teas, or a cup of dark or light hot chocolate – with or without a hint of chilli! We also offer an exciting selection of speciality coffee and loose-leaf tea.

Our menu includes homemade cakes, rolls, waffles cooked in cast iron, fresh salads, and warm snacks like quiche and nachos.

By evening, the café transforms into an atmospheric pub, with dimmed lights, great music, and a full selection of alcoholic beverages.

A place with historical charm
Our name is inspired by Elisabet Tønder Brix, a wealthy and vibrant woman from 18th-century Steinkjer. She managed an inn and ferry traffic from Steinkjergården, not far from where our café is located today. During her time, women were often addressed as "Madam," making Café Madam Brix a fitting tribute to her legacy.
