The car ferry between Gudvangen and Kaupanger run daily from 15th May until 14th September.
The ferry tour of the Nærøyfjord is one of the world's foremost fjord attractions, a fact recognised by UNESCO when it added the Nærøyfjord and Geirangerfjord to its World Heritage List in 2005. Beautiful, wild and dramatic are the words most often used to describe the three hour trip along the Nærøyfjord and Sognefjord. This is where people have lived from time immemorial, and the trip affords the sight of small homesteads clinging to the sides of the steep mountains that plunge into the fjord. An air of nostalgia permeates this spectacular fjord landscape surrounded by mountains reaching up to 1800 metres. Snow-covered peaks forming a striking contrast with the dark, deep fjord are all part of an experience you will never forget.
