Eli-Grete or Gard conveys the history of the art village Balestrand and about the people who lived here in the artist colony.
In collaboration with Kviknes Hotel, the walk starts from the Høyvik hall (with furniture after grandfather/great-grandfather Ivar Høyvik), to the quay with the lively artist community and on to St. Olaf's Church (Den Engelske kyrkja), the King Bele statue with the story of Fridtjov the Bold and finally some of the characteristic dragon-style villas.
The walk ends at Ciderhuset for cider tasting and information.
The hike including cider tasting lasts approx. 2.5 hours.
