Experience Trondheim on two wheels!
Whether you live or work downtown, are visiting Trondheim, or would just like to explore the city’s many alleyways and hidden treasures – Trondheim City Bike makes life easy.
Get a bike by Samfundet and park it at Solsiden to grab a coffee or bite to eat, bike from a meeting at Scandic Nidelven to the next meeting at Nordre, or visit the city’s attractions. The opportunities are endless!
Trondheim is an ideal city for biking. During the last years the development in the city has been vast, with broader roads, bicycle lanes and bicycle bridges. Trampe, the world’s first and only bicycle lift, makes it easier to go up one of the steepest streets in the city that leads up to Kristiansten Fortress.
125 bikes are conveniently placed around the city center on 20 racks. Use the electronic card to unlock them for a maximum of 3 hours at a time, before placing them back on the rack. The service team is doing their best to make sure that no rack is full or empty, so that one will always find both available bikes and space to place a bike when it is no longer needed.
The bikes are available for unlocking from 6am to midnight, but bikes can be returned at any time of day.
