Fjord Norway Stavanger

City walk and beer tasting

  • Strandkaien 61, Stavanger
  • +47 95924057
  •  /  km From You

Activity provider: Guidecompaniet. We start with a walk through Gamle Stavanger, the old part of Stavanger. This is Europe’s best preserved wooden house settlement, consisting of more than 170 houses. Continuing by foot we pass the harbour and local market to Stavanger Cathedral. Built of stone in the 12th and the 13th centuries, it’s one of the few churches in Scandinavia that has kept its original design.

We will pass the shopping streets of Stavanger and Valbergtårnet, the old watch and fire tower built around 1850 - 1853. From here you can enjoy the nice view of the harbour. Next stop is at the local pub for beertasting. Here we get to taste a selection of beer. The cardinal rule of beer tasting is to have fun. This is a good excuse to have a fun and learn more about beer all at the same time.

Duration: 3 hours
Price: From 550 NOK per person (Minimum pay for 15 pax).
