Clarion Hotel The Hub opens in March 2019, and its 810 guest rooms will make it the largest hotel in Norway.
The hotel also will include 22 flexible meeting rooms; the largest will be able to accommodate up to 1,150 people.
The hotel will have three bars and restaurants, including a restaurant on the overlooking the Opera, Bjørvika and the Oslo Fjord from the 13th floor.
Located in the middle of the busiest part of Oslo, The Hub eill offer pop-up exhibitions and various arenas for learning, challenging, creating and sharing.
With source separation, reduction of food waste and sustainable raw materials, energy conservation, carefully selected materials, efficient heating and indoor climate solutions and the use of local suppliers and partners, the hotel will have a clear environmentally friendly profile.
Conferences and events
The hotel's new, spacious and flexible meeting facilities will make it a natural choice for all types of congresses, conferences, meetings, concerts and other cultural events.
The congress hall will cover 900 square metres with 6.10-metre ceilings, its own backstage room, a large mingle area and the option of lifting in large items such as a car. For banquets there will be room for up to 650 people on round tables.
The meeting facilities will also include a 80-square-metre VIP room and 10 boardrooms.
The hotel was previously named Clarion Hotel Royal Christiania and will be completely closed until the re-opening in 2019.
