In Tysvær you will find one of the most beautiful climbing mountains in Norway. It is located in scenic surroundings on Kårstø.
Kårstø is a beautiful, sunny climbing field with over 70 routes distributed on different walls, and more and more are coming. The ratings range from 4+ to 8+, and there are many nice routes at each level. All windows are bolted and have top anchors.
The field consists of a 100 m wide slightly overhanging rock wall with several smaller walls on the sides. All the walls are around 10-20 m high, and the steepness varies from pleasant swell to almost 4 m overhang. A visit here is highly recommended.
