Stryn has several climbing fields that are ideal for this course. In Oppstryn there are two climbing areas, one near Folven camping and a whole new field in Erdal Valley. Here are dozens of gorgeous climbing routes. "Beachen" in Stryn is known as one of the best sport climbing areas in Norway. Each summer hundreds of climbers come to experience steep climbing in spectacular scenery. "Beachen" is one of the few climbing areas in Norway that can guarantee dry mountain even if it rains.
The goal of the climbing course
The aim of the Climbing Course course is that you should be able to climb safely outdoors on bolted climbing. Not least, we want to stimulate the joy of climbing! The course will also raise awareness among the participants on the potential dangers associated with climbing.
2 days
The course runs over two days where you undergo appropriate equipment, knots, hedging techniques, top towing, led-climbing, top anchor, climbing techniques and much more. At the last day is the possibility to test steep climbing if desired.
The course day by day
Day 1
Attendance with presentation of training program and the expectations of the course. Themes for this day will be equipment, knots, rope, abseiling, top rope and danger by outdoor climbing.
Day 2
This day we will focus on doing a lot of climbing. Theme of the day's guiding, basic theory, lead work and attitudes. Possibility of short steep test for those who will.
Instructors with high level of competence
On climbing we use only internationally certified Tindevegledere (UIAGM / IFMGA), Tindevegledere in education / aspirants and NF approved climbing instructors who can demonstrate solid experience over several years in demanding skiing, climbing and glacier tours. The course in Stryn held by our a supervisor Einar Løken who also has a master's degree in sport climbing.
difficulty
The course requires no prior knowledge. You should have reasonable physical condition.
Price
