I am English and a certified IFMGA/UIAGM/IVB mountain guide with lots of experience. I have worked with ice climbing and mountain guiding in Norway, especially in Hemsedal and Valdres for at least 30 years.

Leslie Ayres, British international IFMGA mountain guide. Has been living and working in Norway since 1980. Internationally well known for ice climbing. Offers courses in ice climbing, rock climbing and mountain guiding, in and around Hemsedal and Valdres.

Leslie Ayres has translated the Norwegian guidebook: Klatrefører Hemsedal to english.
The book describes climbing routes in Hemsedal and Gol with topos, sketches, paintings, photo and text. For sale at the Tourist Office and in the sportshops in Hemsedal, Nok 250,-.

Individual coaching and guiding

Leslie Ayres IFMGA Mountainguide, offers instruction and guiding in ice climbing on certain frozen water falls:
- Rjukandefossen - for beginners (1-6 pers)
- Haugsfossen - for ones with more experience (1-3 pers)
- Golsjuvet - for beginners og ones with more experience (1-6 pers)
- Longer tours - for those with long experience on frozen waterfalls around Hemsedal.
