Coastal Northern Lights trip - private trip
A night under the dancing Northern Lights, surrounded by pristine Arctic nature, is a magical experience that everyone should have at least once in their life.
We run our Northern Lights trip on Kvaløya, and the trip is only conducted when there is a fair chance of seeing the Northern Lights in this area. Because of this, the trip can only be booked as part of a winter activity package or on short notice, once we have an overview of the weather and see that conditions are favourable.
Private trips
The trip is private and exclusive to your group, offering an intimate and personal atmosphere. A night under the dancing Northern Lights, surrounded by pristine Arctic nature, is a magical experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. Few other experiences make us feel as connected to nature as being immersed in majestic landscapes on a winter night, warmed by a campfire, far from the city lights and noise.
About the trips
The experience begins with a specially made documentary about the Northern Lights in our heated lounge, where you will learn the complete history of the Northern Lights — from myth to science. Before we head out, you will be provided with high-quality clothing to keep you warm and comfortable throughout the trip.
We will then journey to one of our favourite spots on Kvaløya, an area offering many scenic locations with majestic mountains, fjords, crystal-clear waters, and white sandy beaches.
On some nights, the Aurora appears right away, while on others, we may need to be patient. While we wait, we will light a campfire and enjoy a dinner featuring local specialities, accompanied by hot drinks.
Throughout the trip, you will also learn about the area’s history and wildlife.
Capture the Magic
We will take professional photos and are always happy to share them with you after the trip. If you bring your own camera, we’ll also teach you how to capture the best possible shots. Tripods are essential when photographing the Northern Lights — no need to bring your own; you can borrow one from us.
Transport to and from Tromsø city centre can be arranged for an additional 4200 NOK.
Included: Thermal suits, winter boots, socks, hat, mittens, campfire, dinner, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, tripod, headlamp, and pictures from the trip

With transfer: Pick-up in Tromsø, according to your preference.
Duration: With transfer 6.5–7.5 hours; without transfer 5–6 hours.
