Some of the sights on the tour
The helicopter will pick you up in Lysefjord area, and you will fly over some magnificent views, such as Månafossen, the 9th largest waterfall in Norway (90m high), and the largest in the county. From here, you continue across the mountain ridge towards Kjerag, where you will see the geological formation shaped 11,500 years ago after the ice age. Kjerag is located in the Lysefjord. Its highest point is 1,110 m above sea level, but its northern drop to the Lysefjord attracts the most visitors. The drop is 984 m (3,228 ft) and it is also the site of Kjeragbolten, a 5 m³ stone wedged in between two rocks. Kjerag is a popular hiking destination. Most people go there to have their picture taken on top of the Kjerag boulder, and some BASE jumpers from all over the world go there to dive off the high cliffs. The helictopter continues towards famous Preikestolen passing Flørli with its famous 4,444 steps from sea level straight up the mountainside. Preikestolen is a massive cliff, 604 metres (1,982 feet) above Lysefjorden, opposite the Kjerag plateau. The top of the cliff is approximately 25 by 25 metres (82 by 82 feet), almost flat, and is a famous tourist attraction in Norway. After viewing these three breathtaking places, the landing takes place near the yacht where you will enjoy some fantastic seafood on your way back to Stavanger.
