Cozy farm visit with a chance of northern lights
Welcome to Ninas’ charming little farm! This is the perfect city getaway where you can relax, hang out with the animals at the farm, and enjoy the northern lights dancing in the sky.
Kjæreng Farm is located only 20 minutes from Tromsø city centre in beautiful surroundings. With minimal light pollution, the skies here can offer a clear and unobstructed view of the aurora borealis. While waiting for the chance of seeing the northern lights, you can meet and greet the animals at the farm. You'll have the chance to get up close and personal with these fascinating creatures and learn more about the different breeds and how they are cared for. It is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and nature of Norway. Would you go for a walk and talk with Willy the mini-donkey, who absolutely love attention, or get a night kiss from the adorable llama Lilly?
If you get cold, you can go inside the lavvu and heat up by the bonfire. Locally made food will be made by the fire, and everyone can barbeque their own hot dog (vegetarian option also available).
Kjæreng Farm is a family-run farm, where all animal-lovers are welcome! This is where you can experience the rare combination of natural beauty, animal encounters and peace and quiet. It's an experience that you won't soon forget, and one that you'll be eager to share with others.
Please note! It is not possible to visit if you have been in contact with farm animals outside of Norway within the last 48 hours because of strict regulations to prevent disease transmission.
