Explore the southern shores of Magerøya island and get up close with the infamous king crab.
Although the king crab is not an indigenous species, - it migrated from the Murmansk fjord in Russia - its presence has created a flourishing industry for the local fishermen.
by RIB boat, we will pull up the crab pot and check our catch of the day. Your guide will give you the chance to take pictures and hold the animals before going back on land for a little lesson in history and anatomy.
Finally, you will get to taste this exclusive delicacy in a traditional Norwegian way, with bread, mayonnaise and lemon.
3 reasons to book now:
- Get up close with one of the most impressive creatures of the Barents Sea. King Crabs can grow up to 2 metres wide and weigh up to 15kg.
- Enjoy the arctic scenery from one of our RIB boats. The fast and fun mode of transportation provides us easy access to the crab pot and area around Honningsvåg.
- Taste one of the most exclusive and expensive Norwegian delicacies. King Crab is in high demand and tons of crab are exported to Asia every year.
