Recommended, easy cross-country tour for young and old in Grønlifeltet / Furuhaugmarka in Rindal. Beautiful views to Trollheimen.
Drive past Rindal from the south and take the road up to Grønlifeltet. Park at Grønli lake. Proceed by road about 50 meters. When you see the sign for "Skiløype til Skogsletta 7.5 km".
You follow the trail upwards and then up a hill which is the steepest on the entire trip, but still not steep. Up on the top, after a kilometer from the start, you can see the tracks from Rindal. It is plowed from Igltjønna and is 4.5 kilometers.
Furthermore it goes uphill before turning right (east), past Hamnløa and on almost flat terrain before a little hill up to Skihytta.
Skihytta is built by Rindal IL and is open to all. Here you can sit on benches in the sun or stay inside and maybe grilling or boiling hot drinks.
The trail continues in the same light terrain for approximately one kilometer. Then it's down the gentle terrain against Skogsletta. Many people choose to follow the route to the end of the road through Furuhaugmarka wilderness area. You can make a detour to the "Suitable for children destination" by Storvatnet Lake. Here is a shelter with a barbecue and toilet.
On the way back, you have the finest view of Trollheimen Rindhatten, Bolmetrollhetta and Ura. You can also see Tindfjellet and Sandfjellet Mountain to the southwest. After passing Hamnløa you can go an extra circular route 3 km of Tiuråsen Hill. The view from there is also very beautiful with Bolmetrollhetta opposite and Tifjellet towards the east.
