Culinary experiences in Hadeland Glassverk

Table set for a feast
The glassworks village, Hadeland Glassverk, is a great place to explore culinary delights, with restaurants offering everything from classic dishes to traditional bakery products.

Cinnamon swirls, almond swirls, Danish swirls – in this cornucopia of aromas, it is difficult to choose. Hadeland Glassverk has craftsmanship at its core, and there is one artisan shop with a more tantalizing smell than all the others put together. Master baker Geir Antonson makes pizza swirls and buns with amazing expertise.
– I came here from Iceland five years ago and I love my trade, says Geir.

His signature bread is Icelandic rye bread, inspired by the dark, sweet, and malty versions common in Iceland.

Høvdinghallen is a true food-lover’s paradise. Shelves are overflowing with jars and bottles of every size, colour, and shape. All filled with tempting treats such as honey and jam, mustard and aioli, gravy and soup, cordials and syrup, chocolate and caramels – to mention but a few.
– We enjoy offering niche products from small-scale producers – those rare items not easily found, says product manager Gunn-Lene Velta.

With Høvdinghallen, those with an interest in locally produced Norwegian food and drink are well catered for at the traditional Hadeland Glassverk craft centre.

Kokkestua offers food of the highest quality, and caters for small and large functions. Fresh ingredients are purchased on a daily basis, and fresh bakery products are delivered directly from our artisan bakery. In Kokkestua, we serve everything from the most delicious open sandwiches to exquisite dinner dishes and a wide selection of cakes and desserts. Bring your family and friends to sample traditional Christmas fayre. In Kokkestua's basement, you will find Kongekjelleren – a welcoming function room decorated with glass art.
Norgesglasshuset is a friendly café serving coffee and soft drinks, ice cream cones and lollies, and traditional waffles and pancakes with our own homemade jam.
Norgesglasshuset comprises a small factory in where we produce jam with excellent taste, reduced sugar, and lots of berries and fruit. Welcome!
