Curling in Skien fritidspark

Come along with friends, neighbours or colleagues and play curling at Skien fritidspark. Curling is a growing and challenging sport. A perfect place to gather colleagues, friends or neighbors for a unique experience. First, a kind of curling, then good food and drink in pleasant surroundings.

What is Curling?
Two teams compete against each other. The aim is to place as many stones as possible closer to the center of the estate than the opponent's best stone.

The players and fight
The players kicking from a outcast called "hack" and must release the stone before the hog line. The fight lasts about two hours and consists of ten rounds. In each round, each player puts two stones. The respective teams put every stone.

Sweeping and points
Sweeping heats the ice, making the friction between the rock and ice decreases. Thus, a few stone to slide further. Brushing also ensures that the stone curler / fluctuates less. The score is awarded after all 16 stones in a game is played.

Clothing
It may be cold, 4 degrees, on the ice, then put on good clothes and comfortable shoes (no high heels). We have fun curling pants to all who participate.
