Cycle tour from Scandic Brennemoen - Folkenborg - Mysen - Høytorp fort

A nice little bike ride if you stay at Scandic Brennemoen, or for you those who want to take a little bike ride.

In total, the trip is approx. 15 km.

The trip starts at Scandic Brennemoen. Cycle in on Veslemonaveien (road) to Østreng. Here you will find the gravel road that goes down into the ravine valley, where you pass over the train line and Mysenelva (river). Continue up the hill to Folkenborg Museum. A nice area where you can take a breath.

Then take the road down to Mysen center - Folkenborgveien. (road)

You will get Vesteng housing association on the right hand side, cycle in here and find the path in the tunnel that goes down to Mysenelva.

You now come up to the center of Mysen. Here we would recommend a stop at Villa mat og mer, a cozy cafe and country store. or maybe you are ready for a dinner, then we would recommend La Moss. Cycle around the city center, here are shops of all kinds.

Then you can continue up Vandugbakken (road) towards Høytorp Fort - Turn right at Lillebyveien (road) and then Vardeveien (road) to the left. You will then get the gate to the fort on the right hand side. Take the hill towards Høytorp Fort.

At the fort, we recommend that you take a short bike ride around the area. There is a fantastic view of Mysen from the flagpole.

From Høytorp Fort you cycle towards Momarken trotting track and take the walkway back to the hotel.
