This day trip by bike takes you down to beautiful hamlet Abelvær before you take the Express boat "Foldafjord" up to Rørvik. The last stage goes from Rørvik to Kolvereid.
Description
This trip is also a great option if you are on a longer bike ride north and the next goal is Leka. Then you can join the expressboat from Rørvik to Leka as an extension of this trip.

(Kolvereid - Abelvær: 29 km / Rørvik - Kolvereid: 22 km)
Duration: 6-9 hours included the boat trip back to Rørvik.
Starting time: This trip depends on the boat transport Abelvær - Rørvik. In the summer season, it means you can do this trip either from the morning, and then by boat back in the middle of the day or in the afternoon with an afternoon boat back. The times vary on weekdays and summer / winter.
The trip starts in Kolvereid. As you will take the Expressboat to Rørvik, calculate the starting time based on this. Add time to stop along the way and on idyllic Abelvær.
Bike towards Rørvik, but turn left onto FV 530 right after Kolvereid. Follow 530, then 769, for 9 km, before turning left at Strandval and onto FV 768 down towards Abelvær. By Abelvær Farm you take the express boat back to Rørvik. From Rørvik and back to Kolvereid it is 22 km.
