Sysselgården is a niche company with a diverse range of operations. It is located at the old family farm Askjum Nordre. Here, amidst the flowing fields and with a view of Randsfjorden, you will find activities based on award-winning handicraft.
About Dåpstradisjon museum and sewing workshop
Dåpstradisjon – the museum and sewing workshop is the cornerstone business in Sysselgården. It has been awarded the quality mark "Olavsrosa" for its museum, which exhibits antique christening gowns, and its sewing workshop, which helps to preserve traditional handicraft by producing new christening gowns using old methods.
Handicraft shop, mainly selling products made by Norwegian craftsmen and women.
The summer cafe serves traditional homemade cakes and simple dishes, many made with local produce. There is also a wide selection of gluten-free alternatives.
Sysselgården hosts courses in handicraft techniques, and hires out premises for non-noisy functions, exhibitions and theme nights.
At Smiebakken you can relax with some coffee and cake and admire the views of the cultural landscape, Randsfjorden and the surrounding villages!
