Iconic Norwegian woolen sweaters.
Dale of Norway is centrally located at Karl Johans gate – Oslo's main shopping street. Browse beautiful and functional clothing, from lightweight sweaters made by soft merino wool to thick and warm woolen clothing made from real Norwegian wool.
Dale of Norway combines locally produced Norwegian clothing with international appeal. As one of few textile companies with clothing production in Norway, Dale of Norway designs exclusive garments made of 100% wool, inspired by traditional Norwegian patterns and fitting for the active Norwegian lifestyle. They strictly use wool of high quality, which in combination with advanced knitting techniques, creates long-lasting quality clothing.
Ever since 1956, Dale of Norway has made the official sweaters for Norwegian ski athletes during every Winter Olympics and World Ski Championships. These sweaters have become iconic collector's items.
When the company was started in 1879, the access to local hydropower and high-quality wool were decisive for the location of the factory at Dale. With the modern focus on products made with a reduced carbon footprint, long-lasting quality and good working conditions, locally produced wool is highlighted again as a reusable commodity with unique qualities. As an added bonus, the production at Dale is still dependent on local hydropower.
