The guide will meet you at the hotel when the adventure starts. From here on we proceed to Basecamp Expedition Center for information, briefing and distribution of snowmobiles and warm thermal clothes. The guide will inform you about safety, show you how to handle your snowmobile, and introduce you to the route of the day. The route is always depending on weather and snow conditions. The aim of the adventure is to experience the magical polar night, the fun and mastering snowmobile driving, and to search for the best viewing point. We to take pictures along the way and refresh ourselves with warm drinks.

Minimum number of participants: 4 drivers

Age limit: 8 years old accompanied by an adult

Included: 4-hour snowmobiling adventure with arctic nature guide.
- Transport to and from your hotel or guesthouse in Longyearbyen.
- Warm clothing: Snowmobile suit, boots, gloves, helmet, goggles and balaclava.
- Snowmobile and fuel.
- Search- and rescue insurance for Svalbard.

Note:
Valid driver’s license is required for driving snowmobile. Your driver’s license must be presented before the tour starts. This trip requires minimum three snowmobile. We may also need to change the number of drivers and passengers in the group. This is in terms of safety reasons.

This trip is not suitable for persons suffering from back pains or pregnant women. This is due to safety for your safety and wellbeing, and Basecamp Explorer can unfortunately not to take responsibility for health problems if this advice is neglected.

Language:
Safety is our top priority during our trips. It is necessary for you to be able to communicate in English or a Scandinavian language if you want to join our excursions. The tour language (English or a Scandinavian language) will be chosen based on the group's language skills
