Nakkebruna fits well as a tourist destination for families with children. Here you look towards Hornindalsvatnet, Grodås and into Hornindal. The name comes from the mountain "Nakkebruna", which lies just below the cabin.
Access and parking
Parking at Hornindal school. Alternatively by the road where the path starts.
The path to the cottage
The day hut is just a smal hike away from the trail for the Hornindal Rundt run.
From the school, follow the road on the south side of the school and look across the walkway to Ytrehorn. Go straight ahead, over fv. 726, and through a guard yard to the road. Follow the road up the hill and turn left at the marked trail. The path upwards is quite steep and marked with rounded spots. From the municipal road and further up the path is not universally designed and thus not made for the proper use of a wheelchair, trolley or stroller.
distances
The cabin is about 190 meters above sea level. The ride up takes about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace from the parking lot at the school.
