Access and parking
There are two alternatives to parking: In the center of Sandane or at the marked parking lot for Trivselsskogen at E39.
Parking in Sandane city center or bus: walk from the center and up through the Høgnausen construction site. Here you cross under E39. You see the cabin up in the hillside from the center.
From Byrkjelo: drive past the first exit to Sandane on Kleivedammen and continue about 600 meters. Then first exit to the right. Exit is signposted from E39.
From Anda: drive past the first exit to Sandane. After approx. 800 meters is the first exit on the left. Exit is signposted from E39.
The path to the cottage
The area in Trivselsskogen is well signposted and many paths go towards Draumekvila. At the main sign at E39, the most useful path starts. Follow this upwards and read the signs after a quarter. You will pass the sun plateau and the love forest before you reach Draumekvila, which lies at about 200 meters above sea level.
It is also possible to take a round trip of approx. 6 km.
The trip takes about 20-25 minutes from the E39 sign.
