The Giljafjellhytta day trip cabin is idyllically located right by Rødstjødna, in Saudasjøen in Ryfylke.

Saudasjøen is located just outside the centre of Sauda. You can park at Sauda Golf Course and Tinghaug in Saudasjøen. There are also several trails from the centre and over Fløgstadåsen to the day trip cabin.
The 1.3 km hike from the car park to the cabin is well signposted. When the road splits in two, keep left and follow the path uphill. The walk is a mixture of gravel path and steep tractor track.
Close to the day trip cabin is Rødstjødna, which is a nice place to swim.
