The day trip cabin at Kvilehaugen is situated near Jelsa Primary School, offering views of the fjordside village of Jelsa and the fjord.

From Route 13 (rv 13), follow signs to Jelsa and park at Jelsa Primary School.
You can also take a express boat or ferry to Jelsa. From the pier, walk approximately 300 metres along Jelsavegen, then turn right onto Økstrafjordvegen towards Foreneset. The primary school is on your left after about 700 metres.
The 500-metre forest road is easy to traverse and follows the edge of the forest, taking about 10 minutes to complete.
If you have a wheelchair or a stroller, you can drive approximately 700 metres further along Økstrafjordvegen towards Foreneset. Turn left onto the first forest road, and after about 100 metres, you'll find a couple of adapted parking spaces. From here, it's about 100 metres on a gravel road to reach the cabin.
