Askim Frukt og Bærpresseri is Norway's largest producer of cold-pressed rapeseed oil and produces juices, jellies and jams based on natural raw materials. The factory also houses a unique outlet, where you will not only find the entire product range, but where you can also wander through past times and experience the atmosphere of the factory both then and now. In addition, there are products from other local food producers. The store also has a small café where you can get apple waffles, ice cream and coffee. The innermost part of Askim - an important cultural monument - mining tour in Romsåsen Nickel Mines. Romsåsen nickel mines were the village's first industrial enterprises, and date from 1866. At most there was a total of approx. 100 men at the nickel plant, which was in operation over a 10-year period. Here the exciting history of the mine and the environment that arose around it is conveyed. This is the place where most bats hibernate in Norway, and where the country's largest deposit of the rare rock type "kulenorite" has been found. Romsåsen mines also offers exciting activities such as climbing and rappelling inside and outside the mines.

The tour ends with a tasty meal at Villa mat og mer. The first thing you see when you pop in is a large counter overflowing with fresh baked goods, cakes and confectionery. They offer you to taste and buy with you Norwegian-produced cheese from zealots around Norway, cured meats in various varieties, jams, biscuits, spices, oils and other goodies.
