The innermost part of Askim - an important cultural monument - mining tour in Romsåsen Nickel Mines. Romsåsen nickel mines were the village's first industrial enterprises, and date from 1866. At most there was a total of approx. 100 men at the nickel plant, which was in operation over a 10-year period. Here the exciting history of the mine and the environment that arose around it is conveyed. This is the place where most bats hibernate in Norway, and where the country's largest deposit of the rare rock type "kulenorite" has been found. Romsåsen mines also offers exciting activities such as climbing and rappelling inside and outside the mines.
