This tour is conducted by Tromsø Villmarkssenter. Taste the real musher’s life and explore mountains and valleys of Tromsø region with a dog sled.
Each member of the expedition will be responsible for his or her own team of dogs and you will get to experience every aspect of life as a musher in the Arctic.
Our experienced guides will show you everything you need to know so don’t worry if you’ve never tried it before. Good physical condition is required though.
Dog sledding lasts around 5-6 hours; the route will be worked out according to the conditions and your skill. During the trip, we will provide snacks and something to drink. We will serve the dinner at our camp at the end of the day. You will try a traditional Sami meal called Bidos which consists of reindeer meat and vegetables.
The 1-day expedition starts only on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
