Synnfjellporten – Spåtind Sport Hotel – Dokkfløyvatnet – Synnfjellporten
With Synnfjellporten as starting point, follow route 196 east past Spåtind Sport Hotel to Oppsjøkrysset.
- Turn right at the junction, and continue east on route 204 for approx. 6 km.
- Turn right (a few hundred metres before Hols Bru), and follow the dirt road on the western side of lake Dokkfløyvatnet all the way to the dam.
- At the end of Dokkfløyvatnet, turn right and follow the dirt road back to route 196.
- Turn right to return to Synnfjellporten.

Synnfjellporten – Dokkfløyvatnet – Synnfjellporten
With Synnfjellporten as starting point, follow route 196 a few hundred metres west.
- Turn left and follow the dirt road leading to the dam at the end of lake Dokkfløyvatnet. Then continue across the dam.
- Turn left and follow the dirt road along the eastern side of Dokkfløyvatnet to route 204.
- Keep left and follow route 204 west to Hols Bru.
- A few hundred metres after Hols Bru, turn left and follow the dirt road on the western side of Dokkfløyvatnet all the way to the dam.
- At the end of Dokkfløyvatnet, turn right and follow the dirt road back to route 196.
Turn right to return to Synnfjellporten. Easy route, mostly on dirt roads.
