Dysja farm is magnificently situated with a beautiful 180-degree view over Vindafjord and Krossfjord, at Vormestrand on Ropeidhalvøya peninsula in Ryfylke. The farm was one of only four in the hamlet, which until recent could only be reached by boat.
Dysja Fjordhytter offers two semi-detached cabins, each of which has three bedrooms with double beds, as well a sofa bed in the loft (8 beds total per cabin). Today, a road allows you to drive right up to the cabins.
Fishing is excellent, and your host has made an effort to provide just about everything you need. The guest harbour offers boats available for hire and a gutting table with running water. Each cabin has a boathouse with electrical power and room to store your catch and equipment. Your catch might well include cod, cusk, ling, saithe and pollock.
Nearby is a swimming area close to where you can choose to swim from the beach or rockfaces. Numerous marked hiking trails in the area tempt you to explore the woodlands, hills and mountains. By boat the journey to the town of Stavanger takes about 90 minutes, with four departures daily. If you have a car, recommended excursions include Haukelifjell, Pulpit Rock and Folgefonna glacier.
