At Eggen Restaurant, it’s not just the view that leaves an impression – it’s the whole experience. The food, the people and the atmosphere come together to create something memorable, whether you stop by for coffee and cake, lunch, or a long, leisurely dinner.
The kitchen offers a Nordic menu firmly rooted in quality ingredients, seasonality and simplicity. Flavours are clean and carefully considered, and the dishes are created to suit the place where they are served. This is food that holds its own both on quiet, still days and when the weather shows its powerful Romsdal side.
The restaurant is a modern building set right on the edge of the mountain ridge. Large windows let the landscape in, offering 360-degree views of the Romsdalsfjord and iconic peaks such as Romsdalshorn, Store Vengetind and Kirketaket. Inside, however, the atmosphere is warm and informal, with room for both small moments and special occasions.
You can reach the restaurant with a short gondola ride on the Romsdalsgondolen, or on foot via trails and mountain routes. At the top, you can combine your meal with short, accessible walks to nearby viewpoints before continuing your journey.
