Electric Northern Lights Cruise

Join an electric Northern Lights cruise from Tromsø and explore the Arctic fjords after dark. The tour takes you away from the city in search of clearer skies and the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights, with heated indoor lounges and guides on board.

The route is determined by the evening's weather forecast, with the crew heading towards areas offering the best chance of clear skies. Depending on the conditions, the journey may take you north towards Kvaløyvågen, south to Ramfjorden or west along the southern part of Kvaløya.

The captain and crew monitor the weather throughout the evening, looking for clear skies or breaks in the cloud cover. While waiting for the Northern Lights, you can relax in the heated lounges and enjoy a light meal of soup and focaccia. Additional drinks are available for purchase at the on-board café.

During the cruise, your guides share their knowledge and personal stories about the Northern Lights. If the aurora appears, you can head outside to enjoy the view from the deck. The guides can also help you take photographs during the experience.

Under normal conditions, approximately 75% of the cruise is completed using electric propulsion, offering a quieter experience on the water.

On the return journey to Tromsø, enjoy views of the city's illuminated waterfront and the Arctic Cathedral from the sea.
