Elingaard Herregård (Manor)
Elingaard Manor is beautifully situated on Onsøy outside of Fredrikstad. The place has an unknown age, but there are visible cultural remains from from the Bronze Age and onwards.
Mentioned in documents as far back as the Middle Ages, this manor was owned by aristocrat families for several hundred years. The most well known owner was state chancellor Jens Bjelke who resided here in the 17th century.
At Elingaard Manor you find a museum, exhibitions, guided tours and a beautiful garden. The Manor is also available for private functions and accommodation.
