Energihotellet is a design hotel built in the 60s by the famous Norwegian architect Geir Grung as a part of the Hydro-power plant Røldal-Suldal Kraft. At Energihotellet you can enjoy the magnificent view in original 60s furnitures. Energihotellet is located in the small village of Nesflaten, close to the ski-resort in Røldal. There are good opportunities for hunting, fishing and hiking in the mountains.
All of our rooms are furnished in a minimalistic style, complimenting our unique architecture. Our aim is to make the view of lake Suldalsvatnet the main feature in your hotel room but you will, of course, also find good beds, shower, TV and free Wi-fi in all of our rooms. There is one Junior Suite with a small lounge area and bath tub. We can also offer a room suitable for pets and rooms adapted for universal accessability. We can also supply extra beds and children's cots. All of our hotel rooms are uniquely situated so you are never far from enjoying a panoramic view of the lake. At Energihotellet you can enjoy the view in design furniture by Sven Ivar Dysthe seen in the tv-show Mas Men from 1960 and 1962. You can also experience the warmth from our very own special fireplace in gold.
At Energihotellet you will have a food experience in harmony with the surroundings. We use local produce in every way we can, such as Suldalskinke (cured ham), trout or scar from the lake. Lamb and venison are supplied by local farmers and locally produced sausages. Food and drinks are always designed to compliment the seasonal availability. Local produce and services are also a key feature in the activities we offer. We can arrange a tour to Ham Loft ("Skinkeloftet"), where the local ham is cured, a fishing trip at the lake or Al Fresco Dining
It's possible for groups to rent the entire hotel by request.
