Engineerium is an interactive technology and science center scenic located by the sea at the peninsula Fornebu, just 15 minutes outside Oslo. Discover the history of the Norwegian oil adventure, learn about oil and gas, technology and innovation. Explore science phenomena and test your knowledge on different energy sources.
Engineerium is the Aker companies’ interactive visitor center at Fornebu. This is the place to explore natural phenomena, learn about energy sources, the history of the Aker companies and the oil and gas adventure in Norway. Free entrance.
What we offer
The exhibition offers exciting activities where children can explore how to make wind or solar power, while adults dive into why development of technology in the oil industry has been important for Norway. Among oil platforms, subsea equipment, and ship models there is also several science experiments – test your strength on the pump that illustrates pressure or hoist yourself up and learn about the importance of gearing. School groups visit us, and we have a school program for all grades and several subjects. A visit to Engineerium is free and on Sundays we offer activities for kids. We also offer birthday celebrations with quiz or science experiments for kids.
Meeting rooms and conference facilities
The center holds 8 meeting rooms available for rent. The exhibition area is well suited as a place for mingling sessions in connection to conferences or meetings. We also offer tours and teambuilding activities and can arrange for catering for your event.
