About Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park:
Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park (Southern Sami: Låarte-Skæhkere vaarjelimmiedajve) is Norway's fourth-largest national park, located in the forest and mountain areas east of Trøndelag, extending to the Swedish border. The park was established on December 17, 2004, to protect a characteristic mountain landscape with elements of primeval forest, covering an area of 1,924 km². On the same day, Lierne National Park was also established, a bit further to the east.

The park spans across several municipalities: Verdal, Steinkjer, Snåsa, Grong, and Lierne.
