Escalón Fløien was the first Escalón restaurant that opened in 1998. The name Escalón comes from when the founder, Trond Kjellevold, opened a flamenco bar in Malaga in the 80s called "Escalón". When several years later he pioneered tapas in Norway, there was no doubt that the name of the restaurant should remain.
The informal and friendly atmosphere has always been Escalón's characteristics and our goal is that you will always get good food in relaxing surroundings at a reasonable price. We want all our guests to have a good experience with us, whether you come in for a good glass of wine, or bring everyone you know to a grandios tapas festival! Our restaurant has room for 54 seated guests.
