Guided hiking adventures with Rosendal as base camp
Rosendal is probably the best hiking Base Camp in Norway. From Rosendal you can easily come in touch with all nature elements. Arrive Rosendal from Bergen, Oslo, or Stavanger and check in to the amazing Rosendal Tourist Hotel, after a relaxing dinner, go to sleep; you need all your energy for the rest of your stay here, there are too much things to do!
Day 1 You are picked up by guides from Folgefonni Glacier Team at the hotel straight after breakfast and shuttled for 45 minutes. When arriving you enter a kayak and paddle a tour in a glacier lake with icebergs around you. After an hour with paddling, change paddle with an ice axe, climb up the Folgefonna Glacier, and enjoy your lunch made of local food. Forget the time and let yourself be filled up with the power from the spectacular nature in Folgefonna National Park. Late afternoon you are shuttled back to the hotel and after dinner, you should have an evening walk on small gravel roads up to the Baroniet Rosendal which is a castle from 1665.
Day 2: In Rosendal you are surrounded by the majestic Rosendal Alps. Some of the most beautiful peaks are Malmangernuten, Melderskin and Laurdalstind and so on. Depending on your shape after the kayak and glacier tour one of these peaks are todays hiking plan. All hikes are well marked and a guide can tell local tip, if wanted you can also have a guide with you.
Day 3: You wake up fully recovered and ready for new spectacular adventures. Early morning you are picked up at the hotel and shuttled for about 50 minutes to Skjeggedal in Tyssedal. From Skjeggedal the first part of the trip is by bicycle along the Ringedalslake, before putting on climbing equipment and start an exciting Viaferrata climbing to Trolltung
