The glacier "Strupen" is on the north eastern side of the Lyngen peninsula and is only reached by boat. After a boat transfer the tour starts and leads you into a isolated and deserted glacier landscape, surrounded by steep mountains.
Amazing views, and a experience out of the ordinary!
We start early in the morning crossing the Lyngen fjord on the way to Strupen, a valley untouched by man for 50 years. From there we accent upwards to Lyngens biggest glacier, the Strupen glacier. After a couple of hours with hiking, the glacier shows itself in all its beauty. We will spend a couple of hours on the glacier. Your skill level sets the mark on how we move around on the glacier.
This is a moderate to advanced hike with a climb on approximately 700 height meters and 7-10 km long.
The approach is quite steep with loose rock.
