You will get to visit the bird station, the beautiful oak forest, and hear stories from times gone by about ship plundering, shipwrecks. You will also visit the rolling stones beach where rocks from the last ice age was left by the ice and shaped by the forces of nature.
Learn about seaweed and rare plants, how they were used in the daily life, and about coastal culture and how Jomfruland has developed over time. You will also get to see the spectacular view from the old lighthouse tower, and the fairytale-like lake where the artist Theodor Kittelsen found 'Nøkken' the shape shifting water creature from Norwegian folklore.
Get ready for an interesting and enjoyable day. The island is flat, so walking is easy but remember to bring comfortable shoes.
