Nature Therapy - Activity Park
FARGETUVA a place for "peace of mind".
In the 10-acre garden, with gradual transition to the outlying areas, you will find a rich variety of shrubs and trees, flowers and plants in a rainbow of colours. A hike on the trails provides a panoramic view over Beitstadfjorden towards Skjækerfjella in the east and Inderøy in the south. Take a break on "Utsikten" ("Viewpoint)" or the Bål-huset terrace, and just enjoy nature sounds, bird song and the murmur of the wind in the forest. You are welcome to stay for tea made with our own herbs from "Mynteplassen" or willow herb tea if you want.
On the outdoor arena, activities with themes such as "The tasteful weeds" and "Pick and create your own tea / spice mixture" are organised. During the summer season we are open for groups wanting a showround, also in combination with other desired activities or dining.
In addition, they have meeting/course facilities and accommodation in "Løvetannhuset" ("Dandelion House"). They have seven beds divided between three colourful rooms on the 1st floor, with access to shared kitchen and bathroom downstairs.
The treatment room in the house is in use when Marit is treating clients with Kinesiology and Colour Mirrors colour therapy. Marit can also create therapeutic activities tailored to small groups. Please contact Fargetuva for appointments and quotes.
Fargetuva have a boathouse by the fjord and a boat for hire.
Guided tours, hiking, garden experiences.
Hiking on your own or with a guide on marked trails in the area. Enjoy nature in forests and rock landscape, with a summit hike to Tuvhøgda, then go down to the Fargetuva garden/park. Feel free to take a food break in "Bål-huset" while enjoying panoramic views over Beitstadfjorden. Eagles often hover over the area. We serve herbal teas and coffee with snacks.
They also arrange guided hiking on trails in the 10 acre garden or park, as people like to call it. A number of perennials, shrubs and trees have been planted here, but they also take care of the plant varieties already growing naturally here, and they still thrive on the slopes. All the senses are used during the hike; looking at all the colours, smelling, feeling and tasting the herbs. You also take a look at all the different mint plants they have gathered at Mynteplassen amongst other things. They serve herbal teas and coffee with snacks.
