Melchiorgarden is one of three goat farms still in operation in Norddal, and Petter and Torunn gives you a glimpse of how a traditional goat farm is operated today. There are several traditional products made of goat meat. The farm has also an annual production of about 9 tons of raspberries. You can tour the farm, and a taste samles of what they make here.
We end the visit in Norddal with coffee and cakes at Petrines Gjestgiveri - "Guesthouse of the year" 2006 ! Experience the powerful Sunnmøre with slightly lower pulse at Petrines in Norddal, in the center of the world heritage area. Homely environment, personal service and Farm Shop The hostess tells the story behind the inn. Petrines was originally a retirement home, but was built in 1992 as a restaurant and inn. Here you can enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere and be served traditional dishes based on local food production in the village. The hostess of the house will tell about the history of the food as it is served. It is also possible to buy the local food products.
