Farm visit with a guide
This tour is organized by Svarvaren Gård. Come and visit a Norwegian farm and get the opportunity to get up close to the animals and learn a bit of history about Norwegian farm life. We cuddle, pet, and feed sheep, chickens, and rabbits.
Our guide will meet you when you arrive at the farm. We’ll start with a tour and feeding the animals.
We have 6 Norwegian gray Trønder sheep, 3 Trønder rabbits, and 15 hens. All our animals are very curious and contact-seeking when you arrive.
After the tour, we’ll sit by the fire and enjoy a cup of hot drink (coffee/tea) and something light to eat (biscuits/lefse). The guide will also share some history about old Norwegian farm life and what it’s like to work on a farm today.
There will also be time for photography, as the location is perfect for taking pictures.
In the summer months (June–September), we grow local vegetables, which we sell directly from the farm. After the tour of the animals, we will take a trip to the vegetable garden to see what we can find there.
