This tour is conducted by Tromsø Outdoor and is a tour for all seasons. In the wintertime, we plan to bring out for a twilight adventure - cycling with bike lights and headlamps at 02PM (14:00). The summer tour starts at 10AM (10:00) for an active morning and the perfect start of the day. An electric fat biking tour in Tromsdalen is a great way to be active and enjoy the local nature while you visit Tromsø.
In the summer we follow the local cycle trails, which are a mix of earth and gravel, while in winter we cycle on compact, groomed trails prepared for cycling. This e-bike adventure is suitable for people with moderate fitness who have some previous cycling experience. Each trip is tailored to the group's fitness level, cycling experience, and current weather conditions.
After a short transfer to the start of our tour, our guide will help set up your bike. They will then show you how it works and the best way to ride. Our journey follows a network of trails taking us deeper into the valley. With forested mountains on either side of you and high peaks in the distance, it is like stepping into a different world, leaving the city behind.
Throughout the journey, our guide will tell you about the local nature, culture, and what life is like above the Arctic Circle. A hot drink and snack are included.

The weather in North Norway can change rapidly and suitable clothing is a must. In the winter months, you will want to wear layered clothing - a wool base layer, followed by a fleece and a wind and waterproof jacket and trousers. Ski clothing is a good example. Winter or hiking boots are a must, as are a thin hat (to go under a helmet) and a buff or scarf. Having a small backpack with a warm jacket and additional water in a thermos is recommended. From mid-February onward the sun can be surprisingly strong, especially because of the reflecting snow, so we recommend you also bring sunglasses and sunscreen with you.
Winter clothing and boots are available for rent from our rental center. Please let us know before the tour if you would like to book these.
