During the last 36 years (!) FCC now served as a starting point for tours around Lake Femund. The canoe camp is located far away from cities, in the middle of a forest-, mountain and lake district.
We rent out canoes, equipment, canoe packages and cabins and would be glad to help you, as our guest, with advises and suggestions, regardless if you are going on a long or short trip, by canoe or by foot.
On FCC´s 26 hectares of land, you can camp in a tent or rent a cabin. You'll find a grill house, a volleyball field, a small playground for children and you could play table tennis in the Cafeteria. Several windshields with fireplaces are spread over the area. In the main building are showers, sauna, toilettes and a cafeteria with kiosk. The River Sorka meanders through the camp area and a marked long distance hiking trail passes by.
It is not far to Gutulia National Park where you can find 400 years old pine trees and two mountain farms of nearly the same age. The wilderness area of Femundsmarka National Park is located just 18 km away. Roads lead to its southern border; other areas can be reached by canoe, boat or by foot only.
