Northern Norway Troms og Finnmark SØR-VARANGER

Fishingtour at the Varangerfjord

  •  /  km From You
Overview
Details

Deep sea fishing from our boats. The Varangerfjord has good stocks of many fish species. Cod, saithe, halibut, redfish and catfish are some of the fish species you can easily catch in the fjord. But also rarer species such as flounder, turbot and mackerel are catchable. Even barbed wire has been caught on rods in the Varangerfjord. Information about where the best places are can be found through local knowledge, including from us at Varanger Brygge.

> Salmon fishing in one of our nearest waterways
Legendary watercourses such as the Tana and Neiden watercourses are only a 1 hour walk from our location in Bugøynes. Even closer is the more unknown, but perhaps even better Vestre-Jakobselv. This watercourse has been managed very well in recent decades and can report large and good catches for both experienced and more inexperienced salmon fishermen. In addition, there are 4-6 smaller rivers where there are fine stocks of small salmon and sea trout that can be caught. We at Varanger Brygge are more than happy to help you arrange a day or two in these watercourses.

> Sea trout fishing in the sea
Every summer and autumn there are good opportunities to get nice catches of sea trout. This is often near the outlets of many of the beautiful rivers we have in the area. Here we are talking fish from 0.5 kg and up to 3-4 kg that really challenge you in the fight due to their good flexibility and shape. Best of all, all these waterways are accessible with our boats in Varanger Brygge.

> Freshwater fishing for trout and char
Around Varangerfjorden there are countless with very good, good and less good fishing lakes. How about a trip on one of these lakes if your stay at Varanger Brygge makes it possible? Biting trout on a summer evening with insects and the coffee fire. What more could one want. We at Varanger Brygge are happy to help you with the experience. And remember that the really good waters are often most easily accessible by boat.

> Boat rental
This is Varanger Brygge's latest addition, simple and tidy all-round boat with a new design, sporty lines and several innovative solutions. The boat has a bench at the back with 2 chairs and a double console with an integrated seating box in front. With toft in front.

Welcome to Varanger Arctic Norway

In the far north and as far east as you can go in Norway, where the sky meets the sea, lies Varanger, bathed in the midnight sun and the northern lights of winter. Here the wild landscape meanders through bird-nesting cliffs, fishing villages, and rugged headlands – out to the end of the world.
Nature offers rivers teeming with fish, snow-clad plains, exotic king crabs, birds breeding in spring, leaping salmon, the shining sea, and dancing northern lights. People and traditions make Varanger an Arctic melting pot of communities and cultures. Varanger is a different experience. Scenery and settlements, the light, the colours, the lofty sky and wide horizon, exciting activities and the open people.
