Fiskløsningen (Værdalsbruket AS)
At Fiskløsningen in Vera, Værdalsbruket has a lovely timber cabin in a beautiful location. Here, there are plenty of opportunities for good fishing, and the area is an excellent starting point for hiking and hunting for ptarmigan, forest birds, and hare. You can also enjoy a nice summit hike to Tørrgranvola. The cabin features a spacious veranda where you can savor the views of Fiskløsningen.
Cabin Details:
The cabin is 60m² and was built in 2002 when it replaced an older cabin.
The cabin has a shared kitchen and living area, 2 bedrooms with a total of 6 sleeping spots, and a loft with 2 mattresses. There are duvets and pillows for 6 people in the cabin, but personal items like bed linens/sleeping bags and toilet paper must be brought along. There is an outhouse on the premises.
The cabin is equipped with a solar power system providing lighting in all rooms and gas cooking facilities. It comes with equipment for 10 people, a wood-burning stove, and a fireplace, with dry birch firewood available in the outhouse. Water is sourced from Fiskløsningen. Mobile phone coverage at the cabin is quite good, and there is excellent coverage on the hill to the north of the cabin.
Boat Included with Cabin Rental:
When you rent the cabin, a boat on Fiskløsningen is included. The boathouse contains life vests for 4 adults, but you should bring child-sized vests if needed. If you're fond of fishing, there are several excellent fishing lakes in the area. It's also a great starting point for hunting ptarmigan, forest birds, and hare.
Directions:
To reach the parking area, follow Fv 757 / 160 to Vera, approximately 1 hour's drive from Verdal city center. From the parking lot at Stortjønna or Djupdalen in Vera, it's about a 1.5-hour walk (5 km) to the cabin.
