Fjord Active - Kayak

Join in on a guided kayak trip with Fjord Active from Kjørnes Camping in Sogndal

The trip starts by getting to know all the participants, as well as introducing you to the guide who will be with you. The guide will show you the equipment and give tips and advice on basic paddling techniques to make the trip both safe and comfortable. In stable and safe double kayaks, you explore the fjord. It's a fantastic nature experience where you get close to nature. If you are lucky, you might see porpoises, seals, or birds during the trip.

We paddle to a beautiful beach, and if the weather is nice, there are opportunities for swimming. Please bring swimwear!

It's a lovely feeling to sit in the kayak, when the snow-covered mountains reflect in the mirror-still fjord! Come and join us on an adventure!

Kayak, paddle, life jacket, and spray skirt are included.

Dress according to the weather, but it may be wise to avoid cotton, as it is wet and clammy. Also, bring a jacket that can withstand wind and rain.

A cap and sunglasses are good to have.

Swimsuit and towels.

Please pack what you need in a waterproof plastic bag or packing sack to keep it dry.

Meeting place:

The trip starts from Kjørnes Camping, about 4 km outside of Sogndal, on RV 5, heading east. There is ample parking at the site.

Please park in the designated area for Fjord Active.

There is a pedestrian and bike path all the way from Sogndal to Kjørnes Camping.

By bus to Kjørnes Camping

There is also a bus that departs from Sogndal bus station at 08:40 (08:41 in the city center). Click here for time tables

Get off the bus at the Kjørnes Camping stop (about 5 min by bus from Sogndal).

It's about a 7-minute walk from the bus stop to the meeting place.
