This tour is conducted by Arctic Expedition. Are you ready for a cruise in the amazing winter fjords of Northern Norway?
Wildlife, fishing, aquaculture, local villages, the weather and the elements in the Arctic as well as the Arctic landscape and beautiful fjords, it is all there waiting for you.
Our knowledgeable English-speaking guide and host will give you an introduction to local history and culture, show you short documentaries and presentations about the area, history, wildlife and the eco-system in the Arctic.
We can use one of our 3 boats: MS Aurora Explorer (max. 145 pax), MS Leone (max 12 pax), MS Strønstad (max 30 pax).” We will sail where the weather is on its best to make sure you will have the very best experience.
We sail from Tromsø at 9 in the morning daily from 1th of December. See you onboard!
The tour also include a great ending with an experience with storytelling from the Viking age to the mid-1900 regarding the codfish history and culture, in the fisherman’s restaurant Full Steam - from boat to export, stockfish and the important role of the cod liver oil, you are also invited to have a taste.
Keep in mind that the weather in the arctic can be rough some days. If you think you might get seasick, please bring sea-sickness medicine with you and take it half an hour before the trip starts.

Departure time and place: 9am (09:00) from the back of Rå Sushi Restaurant (outside, in Stortorget) – please arrive 15 minutes before departure time
Duration: 5-7 hours
Included: Transportation, life jacket, hot drink, biscuits, winter warm suit, and experience visit at Full Steam Restaurant/ Museum with guided tour on the codfish culture, tasting of caviar, dry codfish sky and codfish liver oil.
Please bring: Warm boots, hat, scarf and mittens
